Courses for Early Childhood Educators

This course focuses on screening, assessment, and evaluation, working with families, and communicating effectively with coworkers and families. This course is one of five parts that together comprise a 45-hour package of CDA renewal coursework specific and relevant for the Infant and Toddler setting. Each part includes 9 hours of content. This course will identify the benefits of outdoor play for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, specifically addressing ideas for playtime outside that support children’s development. Participants will learn how to recognize safety hazards, and consider the health and safety issues related to taking children outdoors.

Lifelong learning is important for success in career and life. Explore your interests and needs, learning strategies, and resources for ongoing growth.

This course is designed to help adults engage more effectively with other adults. Information provided is appropriate for those in supervisory, employee, co-worker, parent-teacher, or community member role.

The presenter will provide an overview of wellness and health behavior change. Tips for successful behavior change and SMART goals will also be addressed.

Recognizing and utilizing adult learning theories is beneficial for individuals engaged in learning and for those facilitating adults with their own education. Explore your learning preferences and examine strategies for the adult learner and those facilitating adult learning.

This course is designed as an introduction for those who are new to supervising or those who are tasked with managing the ongoing learning of others. Included will be some basic steps and elements to assist in providing effective face-to-face training.
