Learn key elements of nutritional knowledge and the importance of exercise for expectant mothers. Participants will also be introduced to resources available for expectant mothers that facilitate nutritional counseling.

This course provides didactic information on attachment theory, attachment styles, and how attachment may present in the therapeutic setting. In addition, this course explores how these attachment styles can be utilized in clinical intervention with clients.

Evidence-Based Interventions for Challenging Behaviors is Part III of the Promoting Positive Behaviors: Cultivating a School-Wide Climate of Change for Student Success IV Part Series. Throughout this course, participants will deepen their knowledge of prevention and evidence-based interventions for challenging behaviors. Participants will determine which interventions promote positive behaviors, apply developmentally appropriate behavioral expectations and positive reinforcement for desirable behaviors, as well as apply previous knowledge of the hypothesis statement and function of the behavior to evidence-based interventions.

This courses focuses on burnout and how it impacts social work practice and social workers themselves. The causes of burnout will be explored and prevention strategies will be addressed.

Learn about collaboration of care across various disciplines to assist pregnant mothers. Collaboration of care across disciplines in healthcare, mental health, and community resources will be discussed, as well as elements for effective collaboration and common barriers.

This course provides foundational information on what social workers can do make schools more LGBTQ+ inclusive. This course will explore how school environments can be helpful or harmful to identity formation and review the terminology that school social workers and school personnel should use to foster an inclusive school environment.

Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for Positive Behaviors & Academic Achievement & Growth is Part II of the Promoting Positive Behaviors: Cultivating a School-Wide Climate of Change for Student Success IV Part Series. This course moves beyond the development of a FBA and focuses on practical application of a FBA. Throughout this course, participants will utilize functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) to define challenging behaviors, incorporate prevention strategies, teach desired or replacement behaviors, increase the occurrence of desired or replacement behaviors, apply the major components of the behavior intervention plan (BIP), and evaluate the BIP’s effectiveness with data collection and progress monitoring.

This course explores common issues older adults face and the intersection of mental health disorders and chronic health conditions. Therapeutic interventions and techniques that are useful for working with population are discussed and applied to real-life case examples.

Assessing Challenging Behaviors with Functional Behavioral Assessments is Part I of the Promoting Positive Behaviors: Cultivating a School-Wide Climate of Change for Student Success IV Part Series. Throughout this course, participants will develop an in-depth understanding of assessing for challenging behaviors in children using the Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) process. In addition, participants will develop effective strategies for data collection and forming hypothesis statements.

This course provides a general overview of mental health during pregnancy. Learn warning signs of depression and what professionals can do to help.
