Teaching Parent Strategies on Facilitating Language Development in Toddlers and Preschoolers
This course will provide early childhood professionals information on how to train parents in language facilitation in toddlers and preschoolers within the family’s home environment. The following topics will be addressed: Play; CARE (Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement) play; Vocabulary development; syntax development; speech sound development; literacy; and behavior management. This course is applicable to early childhood professionals who work in both center-based and family child care settings.
