This facilitator encouraged the importance of identifying mutual goals of a discussion regarding racism and bigotry and modeling an approach of learning rather than proving a certain viewpoint. In these discussions, there can be a strong history (either personally or systemically) that needs to be acknowledged yet kept respectful and I appreciated learning specific examples of language to use for direction.

My clients present a lot of bigotry of various sorts. I would have appreciated more discussion of the dilemma presented by serving truth, ethics and social welfare at the same time as pursuing an agenda of anti-racism.

It is always nice when I am doing a training ... and I know that I am learning or trying to learn. I liked that the presenter took case examples from our current day issues and addressed how to attempt to address matters. I felt myself questioning to be apart or around his university efforts that they are doing. I thought the material presented was/is important with where this society finds itself at this time, with us needing to be able to address differences, listen to each other, etc.

Dr. Allen is a treasure! I love that he keeps an outline written for us to follow along. His voice is always measured and calm, even at the microlevel. He is a mature, brilliant teacher who keeps the layers of information clearly named and notes all transitions as they also are a part of our learning. I learned a lot from this presentation. Loved that Katrinna asked questions. This brought an aliveness. Also, loved that he offered so many ex. from his own life experience. TY!!!

Content is comprehensive. However, the quiz is composed in a way that makes it hard to determine the right answers - the points made in the lecture by the presenter do not directly correlate with some of the quiz questions / answers.
