To recognize team members who go above and beyond to exemplify our core values, we introduced an excellence awards program to highlight individuals who help us thrive as an organization.
"Heart of Excellence" awards are given quarterly through a peer-nominated process.
Recipients are recognized based on project achievements, innovations, system improvements, morale-building, and going above and beyond.
Awardees are celebrated company-wide and receive a monetary award.
"Congratulations to this quarter's Heart of Excellence recipients," said Asher Primrose, vice president of human resources. "Their colleagues nominated them because they consistently show up for our team and our customers. That kind of dedication is exactly what this award is meant to celebrate."
—MEET SOME OF OUR HEART OF EXCELLENCE AWARD RECIPIENTS—
KYLE BERG, SENIOR DEVELOPER
Kyle Berg has been with the company for a little over five years. As a senior backend developer and tech lead, his team builds and maintains the systems behind subscriptions, user accounts, and email. If you've signed up, logged in, or gotten a receipt from us, it ran through his team's code.
This year, Kyle stepped into a tech lead role over a new set of services and led a major overhaul of the company's billing system.
Kyle previously received a Heart of Excellence award for his work on a major data migration, making this his second recognition.
"I love a hard technical puzzle, especially when the stakes are real. Seeing work like that hold up for real customers is what keeps me coming back," Berg said.
"What makes me proud is that it's never a solo effort. Getting to do difficult work with people who care about getting it right is the best part of the job."
"Kyle is a clear example of what it means to act like an owner. He took full ownership from day one, working closely with his team to get up to speed fast and deliver critical features in record time. He doesn't wait to be asked—he sees what the team needs, owns it, and follows through."
MELISSA MARTINIS, MARKETING DIRECTOR, MARKET DEVELOPMENT
Melissa Martinis leads Continued's market development team, which executes external marketing and profession-specific programs to grow product and brand awareness. She joined the company as a new mom 13 years ago, when fully remote work was not as common, and says the company has allowed for greater balance in her life alongside a career she loves.
This year, when a major campaign unexpectedly stayed on her team longer than planned due to staffing changes, Melissa didn't just keep it running—she improved the process alongside colleagues in other departments and is now documenting it to ensure a smooth handoff down the road.
"It's been incredible to be a part of this growing organization," Martinis said. "While so many things have changed over the years, what has remained unchanged—and even strengthened—is our culture."
This is Melissa's second time receiving the Heart of Excellence award, being recognized in 2023 for her exceptional dedication and persistence.
"Melissa is the epitome of a team player. She stepped up and kept a critical program running while also improving it, all while looking out for what's best for the company's broader goals."
ANDIE TAYLOR, SR. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Andie Taylor has been with Continued for 11 years and manages the company’s social media presence across all of our brands. This means everything from developing strategy, planning and writing content, tracking trends, digging into analytics, and finding new ways to connect with the professionals we serve.
"My job has never stopped evolving. Social media looks completely different than it did when I started here 11 years ago (and I’m choosing not to think too hard about what that says about my age!), so I've constantly had the chance to learn, experiment, be creative, and grow along with it," Taylor said.
"What makes me proudest is knowing there's a purpose behind what we do. The professionals we serve are out there making a difference in people’s lives every day, and I get to play a small part in connecting them with education, resources, and ideas that can help them do that."
Her role also has her collaborating with people across the entire company to bring their work to life on social media.

"Andie is a driving force for our social execution and our company culture. She's a social media and digital advertising powerhouse who oversees more than 15 accounts and backs every post with research, psychology, and solid strategy. Beyond her day-to-day excellence, she's a true culture champion—bringing sharp wit, warmth, and care to every interaction. Andie is brilliant, reliable, and truly deserving of this award."
JESSICA TURNER, FRONT END DEVELOPER
Jessica Turner has been with the company for a year and a half. As a front end developer, she builds new features, fixes bugs, and reviews code for the parts of our product that users see and interact with every day.
Jessica has also become a go-to resource for using AI tools productively by building automations that help her team move faster and sharing what she learns widely. This past quarter, she built and shared a suite of Claude skills that automates everything from fixing broken tests to reviewing code, turning her own wins into gains for the whole team.
"What I love most is that the work is always evolving. There's constantly something new to learn or a familiar problem to look at in a new way," Turner said. "I really appreciate that this company makes room for creative thinking, collaborative brainstorming, and genuine self-improvement. It's a really special place to work, and I'm grateful to be here."
