‘Heart of Excellence’ award recognizes team members for elevating core values

At Continued, we have built a team of dedicated, passionate individuals who keep excellence at the forefront of all we do. 

In order to recognize team members who go above and beyond to exemplify our core values, we introduced an excellence awards program to highlight these individuals who help us thrive as an organization. 

“Heart of Excellence” awards are given on a quarterly basis through a peer-nominated process.  

Recipients are recognized based on project achievements, innovations, system improvements, morale-building, and going above and beyond. 

Awardees are celebrated company-wide and receive a monetary award. 

“We are excited to recognize these award recipients, who their colleagues nominated for championing the values we all hold dear,” said Asher Primrose, vice president of human resources. “Their dedication, passion, and positive influence consistently go above and beyond.”

CLAY HOLT-O’DELL, ASSOCIATE CONTINUING EDUCATION PRODUCER

Excellence award recipientAs an associate continuing education producer within the content division, Clay Holt-O’Dell works directly with external presenters to deliver consistent, high-quality, and accessible webinars to our customers. He joined the company in 2024 and has quickly become known for his initiative and problem-solving skills.

“I love how we embody the core value of 'Act Like an Owner' by empowering each of us to find solutions,” Holt-O’Dell said.

“When I identify a problem, I feel trusted and equipped to collaborate on the best solution with others. Being trusted to explore the best ways to improve our processes and approach is what I most love about this job!”

“Clay has demonstrated excellence through his unwavering support for our team. He doesn't just do his job; he actively seeks opportunities to improve our processes, support our community, and lift up his colleagues.”

SARAH WALSH, CONTENT INNOVATOR & SIMULATION DEVELOPER

Excellence award recipientSarah Walsh joined the company in January 2021. In her role as content innovator and simulation developer, she leads the design and production of Simucase simulations and videos for allied and behavioral health professions. She also manages the occupational therapy supervision services program, where she mentors students and collaborates with faculty on curriculum design.

In her time with the company, Walsh has refined the simulation development process to improve quality and reduce rework. Her colleagues describe her as a steady leader and a critical thinker who anticipates needs before they arise, ensuring that every project is thorough and thoughtful.

“What I love most is the ability to make a meaningful difference by creating safe, low-risk environments where students and professionals can hone their professional reasoning and clinical skills,” Walsh said.

“It makes me proud to work for an organization that views continuous learning as the foundation of professional excellence.”

“Beyond her technical excellence, Sarah is a joy to collaborate with! She mentors with calm confidence and good humor, offering grounded support to everyone. SYDNEY SALAZAR, SR. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST

Excellence award recipientSydney Salazar has been with the company for seven years. As a senior customer experience specialist, she provides direct support and actionable solutions for customers. 

Beyond her core responsibilities, Salazar leverages her expertise as a Certified Personal Trainer to lead internal wellness initiatives, including company-wide bootcamps that strengthen team culture and employee health.

She says what she loves most about her role is the ability to make a tangible impact on the lives of our customers while simultaneously strengthening our organization from the inside out.

“I am most proud of the culture we have within this company,” Salazar said.

“It is an environment where being supported and guided isn't just a policy, but a shared energy that radiates through every interaction. This inspiring commitment to growth allows us to evolve alongside our members.”
