In the broad and fast-paced field of social work, it’s critical to be aware of the latest trends and to stay current on the basics and best practices. Blogs and podcasts can be great resources as you seek to gain new ideas, pull yourself out of a rut, or freshen up your practice.  

The team at Continued Social Work asked our members to share their favorite blogs and podcasts. We rounded up a few of their picks and added some of our own based on content, insight, and valuable knowledge-sharing. 

Social Worker’s Break Room

Social Worker’s Break Room was born out of the need to have a safe space to discuss challenges in the field of social work. Founded by social workers Imelda Ojeda, MSW, MPA, and Jennifer Tunning, LMSW, CPG, this podcast includes personal experiences from the hosts and audience, guest interviews, trending topics, and the “unspoken truths” of social work. Melanated Social Work 

Melanated Social Work, founded by four Black and Brown therapists, was built to decolonize mental health practices by shifting the dialogue around wellness and healing in communities of color.
