State Approval Information for Ohio
The Ohio Board of Psychology accepts courses by APA Sponsors for licensed psychologists. Continued Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.
- Continued Psychology offers courses in ethics and courses in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Multicultural Issues to meet the requirement for continuing education in ethics, professional conduct, or the role of culture, ethnic identity.
- Licensed school psychologists must obtain approval of courses through the Ohio School Psychological Association.
- Certified Ohio behavior analysts who do not hold an active certification as a board-certified behavior analyst may obtain continuing education on appropriate topics from sponsors approved by the APA.
School psychologists holding a Pupil Services License from the Ohio Department of Education should refer to the Department for information about professional development requirements.
For all other professionals, please check with your state board for current requirements.
