The Iowa Board of Behavioral Health Professionals accepts courses by APA Sponsors. Continued Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.
- Licensees are required to obtain 6 hours of continuing education pertaining to the practice of psychology in any of the following areas: ethical issues, federal mental health laws and regulations, Iowa mental health laws and regulations, or risk management. Continued Psychology offers ethics courses that may meet this requirement.
- A course that meets the mandatory reporting requirement is available through the Iowa Department of Human Services.
