Courses on Continued meet the criteria for acceptable continuing education for Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists licensed by the Iowa Board of Behavioral Science. Continued has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7484. To find approved courses, select NBCC from the Association menu.
- Continued offers courses that may meet the ethics requirement.
- Continued offers courses that may meet the supervision requirement.
- A course that meets the mandatory reporting requirement is available through the Iowa Department of Human Services.
For addiction professionals, Continued offers live courses approved by IBC. Courses other than live webinars must be submitted to the board for approval by the license holder, as the board does not pre-approve providers for self-paced courses.

This course equips mental health professionals with an understanding of what constitutes problem gambling/gambling disorder, and the basic principles of a system of gambling treatment. Participants explore the importance of internal and external messaging, the delivery of the screening results, and evidence-based interventions. In addition, participants are introduced to a foundation of collaborative care strategies and learn how to effectively utilize these strategies in conjunction with the interdisciplinary care team and ancillary services.
