Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for Positive Behaviors & Academic Achievement & Growth is Part II of the Promoting Positive Behaviors: Cultivating a School-Wide Climate of Change for Student Success IV Part Series. This course moves beyond the development of a FBA and focuses on practical application of a FBA. Throughout this course, participants will utilize functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) to define challenging behaviors, incorporate prevention strategies, teach desired or replacement behaviors, increase the occurrence of desired or replacement behaviors, apply the major components of the behavior intervention plan (BIP), and evaluate the BIP’s effectiveness with data collection and progress monitoring.
