What is a realistic timeline for starting a private practice?
Answer
A realistic timeline differs for everybody, that is why it is very important for a private practice owner to initially outline their goals. For me personally, it took me about six months to build up my caseload to about 15 clients. After six months, it probably took me another three months to have a full caseload, which I consider 25 clients.
Therefore, I would say a realistic timeline is probably less than a year, and highly dependent on how well the new private practice owner markets themselves and seeks out referral sources.
For more information on starting a private practice and for private practice consultation contact Samantha Silverman at samathasilverman@outlook.com.
