• LBSW/LMSW/LCSW: 30 hours every 2 years. Licenses expire on the last day of the licensee's birth month.

Can I take my continuing education through Continued Social Work?

Yes. Continued is an ASWB ACE provider. Courses on Continued may be used to meet continuing education requirements for social workers licensed in Texas.

LBSW/LMSW/LCSW:

• There is no limit to the number of continuing education hours that can be completed online.
• 6 hours of ethics every two years. Continued offers courses that may meet the ethics requirement.
• 3 hours of ensuring competency of a distinct population every two years. Continued offers courses that may meet this requirement.
• 1 hour Human Trafficking every two years. TX Health and Human Services provides a list of courses, including many free options, to meet the human trafficking training requirement.
• Supervisors: In addition to the above requirements, supervisors must obtain 6 hours of supervision every two years. Continued offers courses that may meet the supervision requirement.

CE Broker Reporting: 

• Proof of required CE must be electronically submitted directly to CE Broker. Continued will report course completions to CE Broker for approved courses. You may also self-report to CE Broker. The Continued provider number for CE Broker is 50-29950.
