How many CE hours does Nevada require for social workers?

  • LSW/LMSW/LASW: 30 hours every 2 years.

  • LISW/LCSW: 36 hours every 2 years.

Licenses expire on the last day of the licensee's birth month (depending on the year of issuance).

Can I take my continuing education through Continued Social Work?

Yes. Continued is an ASWB ACE provider, and the Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers accepts courses approved by ASWB ACE.

Other Information

  • There is no limit to the number of continuing education hours that can be completed online.
  • A licensee may not take a continuing education program that presents the same material taken during the immediately preceding reporting period.
  • Additionally, a licensee may not take the same course within a two-year period.
