How many CE hours does Kentucky require for social workers?

  • LSW: 15 hours every 3 years.

  • LCSW/CSW: 30 hours every 3 years.

Licenses expire based on the date of issuance.

Can I take my continuing education through Continued Social Work?

Yes. Continued is an ASWB ACE provider, and the Kentucky Board of Social Work accepts courses approved by ASWB ACE.

  • There is no limit to the number of continuing education hours that can be completed online.

  • In addition to all of the requirements listed above, LCSWs must also complete 3 hours of supervision each renewal period. The Kentucky Board requires that supervision courses be approved by the board. We do not currently offer this course.
