How many CE hours does Alabama require for social workers?

  • 30 hours every 2 years

  • 30 hours every 2 years

  • 30 hours every 2 years
  • Licenses expire based on the date of issuance

Can I use this site to earn my continuing education hours?

• Yes, we are an ASWB ACE provider, and the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners accepts courses approved by ASWB ACE.

LBSW:

• There is no limit to the number of continuing education hours that can be completed online; however, at least 10 of the 30 required hours must be through live interactive webinars.

  • Please note: Ethics courses must be taken by a licensed presenter.
  • Explore ethics courses
• 1 hour of child abuse and neglect training is recommended
  • Tip: A course that meets the child abuse and neglect training requirement is available through the Alabama Department of Human Resources.

 LMSW:
