This course excelled by providing comprehensive insights into chronic health issues, intertwining practical evaluation tools like the five E's with innovative therapeutic approaches such as the Spoon Theory and EMDR for pain. It skillfully bridged the gap between physical and mental health, offering rich strategies for enhancing client care and emphasizing the importance of cultural sensitivity and ethical considerations in treatment.

Seemed like chronic health issues were pinpointed to individuals factors more so than allowing context to environmental factors etc that can contribute to chronic health issues. It seemed reductionist to say all things can be modifiable to avoid these conditions.

Really good information about chronic pain and health issues, and how they are linked to mental health issues like anxiety and depression. I had learned some of this informally through working with clients with chronic health issues, but this course was very informative and will be helpful in future work with clients.

The information provided was very informative. I work in the field of workers compensation mental health and the information provided will be utilized. However, the presenter was not very professional in terms of her communication patterns. There were a lot of "ummm... so..." The presentation itself could have been more organized and succinct. It was also off putting she was not professional attired (wearing sweats). Overall, the presentation was good and very useful.

Overall, I thought the presentation was done very well and I know that there is only so much that can be reviewed in 1 hour. I was confused with the Polyvagal Theory and working with pain, how to educate client's about this and Polyvagal Theory and even when to use it. I also found the examples of what to do with a client to be very help and would have liked the presenter to focus more on interventions.

It touched on many aspects of Chronic Pain Syndrome including the many co-occuring disorders. The subjectivity of painmakes it cha llenging to fully grasp how it limits daily functioning. I like the visualization imagery techniques that gives the client asense of empowerment over their pain. I would also include tapping into the client's Spirituality as a resource for coping.
