This course was very interesting. Mira Rollins is an excellent presenter. She broke down each category very efficiently. She connects each section to the next with very good reasoning. I hope to see many more topics presented by Ms. Rollins.

The presenter was able to define and review dimensions of well being, as well as provide examples. She reviewed how health and wellness can be impacted in different ways. She defined caregiver burnout, reviewed caregiver education, and defined caregiver types. She reviewed interventions we could utilize with caregivers, and as a helping professional that social workers often work alongside with, we can collaborate on this as an interdisciplinary team.

This presenter was an occupational therapist and she did an OUTSTANDING job of breaking down the realities of caregivers’ burden and providing interventions that can alleviate their caregiving stress while simultaneously improving patient outcomes. I was glad to see someone other than an academic or a social work clinician offering some really effective remedies on a topic she knows a lot about.

While not a social worker, the presenter was eminently qualified to highlight the range of contingencies and eventualities facing the unprepared caregiver. Her perspective, as an occupational therapist, was, I thought, a major advantage because of the specialized knowledge and experience that is largely particular to her discipline.
