- After this course, participants will be able to identify at least three DSM-5 diagnoses that commonly present or intensify across the full menopausal transition with relation to how psychosocial life-stage factors shape clinical presentation.
- After this course, participants will be able to explain at least two evidence-based strategies behavioral health clinicians can use to support shared decision-making and interprofessional collaboration with clients navigating hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options.

Allison Nilsen, AM, LCSW, is a Seminar in Field Instruction-certified licensed clinical social worker and Content Strategist and Developer for Behavioral Health at Continued. After earning her Master's in Social Work from the University of Chicago in 2008, Allison relocated to New York City to provide counseling and support to people impacted by cancer. She has over 15 years of experience in direct clinical practice, program development, and supervision, primarily in medical social work settings. In her current role she develops interactive learning simulations based on university curricula and accreditation standards, and partners with subject matter experts to create continuing education content.
