Can I use this site to earn my continuing education hours?

  • Yes, although the Iowa Board of Respiratory Care and Polysomnography does not approve specific continuing education providers, we offer courses approved by AARC for CRCE Credit to meet your continuing education needs.

Other Information

  • 6-hour maximum for courses that enhance a supplemental or complementary skill set directly related to the practice of respiratory care (e.g., record keeping, ethics, geriatric care).
  • First-time renewals are exempt from continuing education requirements.
  • A mandatory reporter course is required every 3 years. To fulfill this requirement, you must complete the course through Workday for the State of Iowa.
