We recognize the familiar phenotypes of asthma – exercise-induced bronchoconstriction(EIB), allergic, occupational, non-allergic, etc. However, understanding why patients with EIB, for example, may respond differently to the same treatment remains unclear. Identifying the mechanism behind the condition should, ideally, allow for precise - targeted treatment of these patients.
