MD, MS
Dr. Anoop M. Nambiar is a Professor of Medicine and Founding Director of the Center for Interstitial Lung Disease at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and specializes in interstitial lung diseases. He completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in New Jersey in 1999. He received his Doctor of Medicine in 2003 at New Jersey Medical School-University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In 2006, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan followed by fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine there. He is an active member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and European Respiratory Society. His program is currently one of 68 Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Care Centers in the U.S., one of 5 in Texas, and the only one in South Texas.
