Dr. Gilmore is an Associate Professor and Program Director of Cardiopulmonary Science at Louisiana State University Health Shreveport. He holds a PhD in Health Science from Nova Southeastern University, complemented by degrees from LSU Health Shreveport (MS and BS in Cardiopulmonary Science) and Bossier Parish Community College (AS in Respiratory Therapy).
As a licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist, he has advanced credentials in adult critical care, neonatal/pediatric respiratory care, pulmonary functions technology, and asthma education. His professional contributions extend to peer reviewing for the Respiratory Care Journal and serving as an item-writer for the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Dr. Gilmore's research primarily investigates intensive care unit management, mechanical ventilation, asthma care, and patient education. His scholarly work is reflected in multiple peer-reviewed publications that advance understanding in these critical healthcare domains.
