Why Is Compassion a Critical Tool for Navigating Difficult Workplace Personalities?
Published on Mar 1, 2026
Question
Why is compassion a critical tool for navigating difficult workplace personalities?
Answer
When you see these types of personalities, think about what happened to that person that made them like that. Why is that wall up like that? Why are they combative or mean? Know that trauma comes through people in different ways. It is easier said than done, but sometimes we have to start looking through their lens, and it will make your life easier to maneuver through people. Then you could learn from those types of people, too. They will start to open up to you if you are compassionate. Eventually, the wall will go down, and you can learn from them if they are good at things.
