How many CE Hours does Wyoming require for psychologists?

• Psychologist/Psychological Practitioner/Specialist in School Psychology: 30 hours every two years. Licenses expire annually on June 30; Continuing Education hours must be obtained during the 48 months immediately preceding renewal.

• Behavior Analyst: Provide proof of current BACB Certification in good standing. License expires annually on June 30.

Can I take my continuing education through Continued Psychology?

• Psychologist/Psychological Practitioner/Specialist in School Psychology: Yes, Continued is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Wyoming State Board of Psychology accepts courses offered by APA approved providers.

• Behavior Analyst: No. Licensed behavior analysts must provide proof of current BACB Certification in good standing. Continued is not a BACB-approved sponsor of continuing education for behavior analysts. However, you are welcome to search the Continued library for courses that may contribute to your professional development.

Licensed Psychologists/Psychological Practitioners/Specialists in School Psychology:

• At least 10 hours must be from activities reviewed and approved by the APA or NASP. Continued is an approved continuing education sponsor by the American Psychological Association (APA).
• Courses should be directly related to the scope of practice in the category of licensure held.
• School psychologists holding a license from the Wyoming Department of Education should refer to the Department for information about professional development requirements.

Behavior Analysts:

• Licensed behavior analysts must provide proof of current BACB Certification in good standing. Continued is not a BACB-approved sponsor of continuing education for behavior analysts. However, you are welcome to participate in Continued courses for your own professional development.

CE Broker Reporting: 

• Proof of required CE must be electronically submitted directly to CE Broker. Continued will report course completions to CE Broker for approved courses. You may also self-report to CE Broker. The Continued provider number for CE Broker is 50-29950.
