• Psychologist/ Licensed School Psychological Practitioner/ Certified Prescribing Psychologist/ Provisional Prescribing Psychologist: 48 hours every 2 years.

• Certified Psychology Resident: 24 hours every 2 years.

• Behavior Analyst/Assistant Behavior Analyst/Behavior Specialist/Assistant Behavior Specialist: There are no CE Requirements for Behavior Analysts or Specialists for license renewal in Utah.

Licenses expire on 9/30 of even-numbered years.

Can I take my continuing education through Continued Psychology?

• Psychologist, Licensed School Psychological Practitioner, Certified Prescribing Psychologist, Provisional Prescribing Psychologist, and Certified Psychology Residents: Yes. Continued is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing - Psychology accepts courses approved by national associations of behavioral health professionals.

• The remaining CE hours may be obtained through live, interactive courses on Continued.
• Licensees are required to obtain 6 CE hours in ethics/law. Continued offers ethics courses to help meet this requirement.
