How many CE Hours does Pennsylvania require for psychologists?

Psychologist: 30 hours every 2 years. Licenses expire every 2 years on 11/30 of odd-numbered years.

Can I take my continuing education through Continued Psychology?

Yes. Continued is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology accepts courses offered by APA approved providers for psychologist license renewal.

Other Information

The Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology allows for a maximum of 15 continuing education (CE) hours be obtained from home study courses. Continued offers video, audio, and text courses that meet this requirement.
Continued offers live, interactive webinars that may be used to meet the remaining 15 hours of continuing education required.
Licensees are required to obtain at least 3 CE hours in ethics. Continued offers courses that may meet this requirement.
Licensees are required to obtain at least 1 CE hour in suicide prevention. Continued offers courses that may meet this requirement.
Licensees are required to obtain 2 hours of child abuse recognition and reporting each renewal cycle. Continued offers a child abuse reporting course approved by Pennsylvania. We do not offer a 3-hour course for initial licensure.
