How many CE Hours does Idaho require for psychologists?

  • Psychologist: 
    • 30 hours every 2 years
    • Licenses expires annually on licensee's birthdate
  • Prescribing Psychologist: 
    • 30 hours every 2 years in addition to 30 continuing education hours in psychopharmacotherapy
    • Licenses expires annually on licensee's birthdate

Can I use this site to earn my continuing education hours?

  • Yes, we are approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Idaho Board of Psychologist Examiners accepts courses offered by APA approved providers.

Other Information

Psychologist:

  • The Idaho Board of Psychologist Examiners requires licensees to obtain 4 hours of continuing education in laws and ethics. 

Prescribing Psychologist:

  • In addition to the requirements listed above for psychologists, licensees must obtain 30 additional continuing education hours in psychopharmacotherapy. We do not currently offer courses that meet this requirement. Please check back again in the near future.
