  • Yes, we are approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Connecticut State Department of Public Health accepts courses offered by APA approved providers for psychologist license renewal.

  • The Connecticut State Department of Public Health requires a minimum of 5 hours during each registration period must be completed in-person or via live online webinars for psychologists. 
  • A maximum of 5 hours during each registration period can be completed via the 
  • Licensees are required to complete a minimum of 2 contact hours of training or education on the topic of mental health conditions common to veterans and family members of veterans, including (A) determining whether a patient is a veteran or family member of a veteran, (B) screening for conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, risk of suicide, depression and grief, and (C) suicide prevention training ever 6 years.
  • A licensee applying for license renewal for the first time shall be exempt from the continuing education requirement.
