How many CE hours does Tennessee require for massage therapists?

• 24 hours are due by 12/31 of even-numbered years. Licenses expire every 2 years based on the licensee's birthdate.

Can I earn my continuing education hours through Continued Massage Therapy?

Yes. Continued Massage Therapy is an NCBTMB Approved Provider, and the Tennessee Board of Massage Licensure accepts courses approved by NCBTMB.

• A maximum of 8 hours can earned online through distance learning. Continued Massage Therapy offers online courses to help meet your CE requirements.
• The remaining 16 hours may be earned online through live webinars. Continued Massage Therapy does not currently offer courses to meet this requirement.
• Massage therapists must complete 2 hours in professional ethics each renewal period. Continued Massage Therapy offers courses that may meet the 2-hour professional ethics requirement.
• Massage therapists must complete 2 hours in Tennessee statutes and rules, must be board approved and offered live. Continued Massage Therapy does not currently offer courses to meet this requirement.
