How many CE hours does Indiana require for massage therapists?

  • 18 hours for the renewal in May 2025. After that, 24 hours every 4 years. Licenses expire 5/15 every 4th year (2025, 2029, etc).

Can I earn my continuing education hours through Continued Massage Therapy?

Yes. Continued Massage Therapy is an NCBTMB Approved Provider, and the Indiana Board of Massage Therapy accepts courses approved by NCBTMB.

Other Information

  • Massage therapists must complete 2 hours in ethics each renewal period. Continued Massage Therapy offers courses that may meet the ethics requirement.
  • A maximum of 3 hours of continuing education may be obtained each renewal cycle on topics related to management, administration, or supervision of a business practice, which relates directly to the operation of a massage therapy business but does not include instruction on computer skills.
