• 24 hours every 2 years. Licenses expire every 2 years based on birth month and odd/even birth year. Licenses expire on the last day of the birth month, even years for licensees born in even-numbered years, and odd years for licensees born in odd-numbered years.

Can I earn my continuing education hours through Continued Massage Therapy?

Yes. Continued Massage Therapy is an NCBTMB Approved Provider, and the Virginia Board of Nursing accepts courses approved by NCBTMB for licensed massage therapists.

• There is no limit to the number of continuing education hours that can be completed online.
• Licensees must complete 1 hour in professional ethics each renewal period. Continued Massage Therapy offers courses that may meet the 1-hour professional ethics requirement.
