How many CE hours does North Dakota require for massage therapists?

• 24 hours every 2 years (0-14 years active practice)
• 6 hours every 2 years (15-24 years active practice)
• 3 hours every 2 years (25+ years active practice)
• Licenses expire 2/28 every 2 years (based on odd/even license number).

Can I earn my continuing education hours through Continued Massage Therapy?

Yes, a portion of your hours can be obtained online. Continued Massage Therapy is an NCBTMB Approved Provider, and the North Dakota Board of Massage Therapy accepts courses approved by NCBTMB.

• Up to 12 CE hours may be earned online. Continued Massage Therapy offers online courses to help meet your CE requirements.
• 12 hours are required to be in hands-on muscle manipulation therapies and given in the physical presence of the class instructor/presenter. 
• Massage therapists must complete 3 hours in ethics for the second renewal after initial licensure, thereafter ethics is optional. Continued Massage Therapy offers courses that may meet the 3-hour ethics requirement.
