How many CE hours does Alaska require for massage therapists?

16 hours every 2 years. Licenses expire 9/30 of odd years.

Can I earn my continuing education hours through Continued Massage Therapy?

Yes. Continued Massage Therapy is an NCBTMB Approved Provider, and the Alaska Board of Massage Therapists accepts courses approved by NCBTMB.

Other Information

There is no limit to the number of continuing education hours that can be completed online.
Massage therapists must complete 2 hours in ethics each renewal period. Continued Massage Therapy offers courses that may meet the ethics requirement.
Massage therapists must demonstrate completion of a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course. An applicant for renewal may receive two hours of continuing education credit for completion of a hands-on CPR course through the American Red Cross or other qualified organizations.
Licensees should review the list of unacceptable CE content listed on the Board's website.
