How many CE Credits does Wyoming require for counselors?

Professionals licensed by the Wyoming Mental Health Professions Licensing Board:
- LPC, CMHW, LMFT, LAT, CAP, CAPA: 45 hours every 2 years. Licenses expire biennially on the licensee's birthdate.

Can I take my continuing education through Continued Counseling?

Licensed Professional Counselors/Marriage & Family Therapists/Addiction Counselors: Yes. Courses on Continued may be used for continuing education requirements for those with credentials from the Wyoming Mental Health Professionals Licensing Board. Continued has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7484. Continued is a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, #283836. Find courses offered for NBCC credit or courses approved by NAADAC.

Licensees are responsible for completing courses that align with the content requirements for their specific license.

Other Information

Licensed Professional Counselors, Certified Mental Health Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Counselors:

LPC, CMHW, LMFT:
- There is no limit to the amount of continuing education hours that may be obtained online.
- 3 hours in ethics must be obtained each renewal. Continued offers courses that may meet the ethics course requirement.
- 3 hours in suicide assessment or intervention must be obtained each renewal. Continued offers courses that may meet the suicide course requirement.

Addiction Counselors:

LAT, CAP, CAPA:
- There is no limit to the number of continuing education hours that can be completed online.
- 3 hours of ethics each renewal period. Continued offers courses that may meet the ethics course requirement.
- 3 hours of suicide prevention each renewal period. Continued offers courses that may meet the suicide prevention course requirement.
- 15 hours must be related to addiction each renewal period. Continued offers courses that may meet the addiction course requirement.

CE Broker Reporting:

Proof of required CE must be electronically submitted directly to CE Broker. Continued will report course completions to CE Broker for approved courses. You may also self-report to CE Broker. The Continued provider number for CE Broker is 50-29950.

National Board for Certified Counselors Approved Continuing Education Provider

Continued has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7484. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Continued is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
