Professional Counselor (PC), Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT), Independent Mental Health Practitioner (IMHP), Mental Health Practitioner (MHP): 32 hours every 2 years. Credentials expire on 9/1 of even-numbered years.
Professionals regulated by the Nebraska Board of Alcohol and Drug Counseling:
ADC: 40 hours every 2 years. Credential expires on 9/1 even-numbered years.
Can I take my continuing education through Continued Counseling?
Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Mental Health Practitioners: Yes. For professionals licensed through the Nebraska Board of Mental Health and Social Work Practice, the Board accepts courses by NBCC approved providers.
