How many CE Credits does Montana require for counselors?
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Certified Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist (CBHPSS): 20 hours every year. Licenses expire on 12/31 annually for LCPC, LMFT, and CBHPSS, and on 6/30 annually for LAC.

Can I take my continuing education through Continued Counseling?
Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, Behavioral Health Peer Support, and Addiction Counselors: Yes. Courses on Continued may be used to meet continuing education requirements for professionals licensed through the Montana Board of Behavioral Health. Continued has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7484. Continued is a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, #283836. Find courses offered for NBCC credit or courses approved by NAADAC.
